Numerical Processing
All of us at AppFive made the move to digital microscopy many years ago. To get the most from our digital data, we’ve had to use a vast array of numerical processing techniques and algorithms. And when we couldn’t find what we needed, we created it ourselves.
One of our goals at AppFive is to get everything we can out of your instrument, and your data. We’ve spent years researching, developing, implementing and using all sorts of numerical algorithms. Following are just a few:
- Image processing: intensity processing, filtering, pattern recognition, segmentation, colorization, color processing, Fourier processing, edge detection, splicing
- Spectrum processing: smoothing, filtering, background modeling/fitting, peak fitting, spectrum matching, splicing
- Machine learning: feature detection/recognition, feature learning algorithms
- Automated classification: Naive Bayes classification, boosted classifiers
